Owerri road to be named after Miss Nigeria Ezinne Akudo

For emerging the most beautiful girl in Nigeria and making her state proud, Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha has been honoured by the Imo State Government.

NET learnt a road in Owerri is to be named after the 23-year old queen to cement her name in the history of the town, and also inspire younger girls.

Speaker of the house, Ben Uwajumogu, who described her achievement as one worthy of recognition and celebration, disclosed that a motion has been moved for her to become the face of the state.

In addition, Ezinne was also presented with a cash gift of N500, 000 as a reward for her feat.

Eku Edewor featured on Vogue Italia’s website

If we were to describe Eku Edewor in one word, it would be ‘Stylish‘.

The TV host/actress/model has been featured in Vogue Italia‘s website, on the Vogue Black page. In an interview with Vogue’s Shomara Roosblad, the Studio 53 Extra host talks about the role fashion played in her childhood while growing up in Nigeria and Britain and how Nigerian women are constantly expressing themselves with fashion.

‘Nigerian women I have to say that we love to express ourselves, the bright colors and cheerful prints, we are magpies, in that sense. We love things that sparkle and shine, both in clothes and accessories, and the silhouette shapes‘, Edewor says.

This country! So Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson, today announced state burial for Patience Jonathan's late foster mum, Mrs. Charity Francis Oba, who died in a car accident in July.

Jonathan moves against Oduah, as another minister is made to sign BASA

Former Vice President Mike Akhigbe dies at 68

Former Chief of General Staff, and Vice President of Nigeria during the General Abdusalam Abubakar led military government, Vice Admiral Mike Okhai Akhigbe, is dead. The former military governor of Ondo State died on Monday October 28th in a hospital in New York after battling with throat cancer for many years. He was 68 years old.
