Chimamanda Adichie leads other writers to 2013 Literary Evening this Friday

Chimamanda Adichie will tomorrow lead a team of international literary writers to the 2013 Literary Evening as this year’s Creative Writers Workshop comes to an end.

The event slated for the Lagos Oriental Hotel is expected to bring to an end 10 days of tutorials for talented creative writers to improve their skills which began ten days ago in Lagos.

The celebrated Nigerian international writer and Creative Director of Farafina Trust will be in attendance, alongside international writers; Kenyan writer Binyavanga Wainaina, Norwegian politician and former party leader Aslak Sira Myhre and Nigerian writer and medical doctor Eghosa Imasuen.

Other writers who have participated in the workshop and Literary Evening include Jeffery Renard Allen, Robert Spillman, Ama Ata Aidoo, and Chika Ike.

Nigerian Pop singer KCEE will headline a list of music performers billed to entertain guests.

The 10 day workshop which takes the form of a class where participants are assigned a wide range of reading exercises, as well as daily writing exercises is aimed at helping Nigerian writers improve their craft as well as encourage budding writers to embrace new and refreshing perspectives in the art of storytelling.
