Three Nigerian models make the list as Africa’s Next Top Model debuts on TV



Nigerian upcoming models Joyce, Omowunmi and Opeyemi are among the top 12 finalists who made the cut for the first ever edition of fashion reality TV show Africa’s Next Top Model.
Hosted by international model Oluchi Orlandi, the show shot on location in Cape Town, South Africa features 12 aspiring models from different parts of Africa competing to be Africa’s Next Top Model.

The winner walks home with a 1-year modelling contract with New York based modelling agency – DNA, a product endorsement deal as well as cash prize of $50,000.

Set to commence airing on DSTV’s Africa Magic Channel 151 on Sunday November 10, the show which is a franchise format of popular TV series America’s Next Top Model, created by American supermodel Tyra Banks, will see former supermodel and photographer, Josie Borain, Photographer, Remi Adetiba, and designer David Tlale, all teaming up as judges.

The models from across Africa who also made the list include Cheandre, Rhulani, and Michelle from South Africa, Aamito from Uganda, and Marwa, Tunisia.

Others are Roselyn, Ghana, Safira, Mozambique, Michaela, from Angola and Steffi, Kenya.
